Engel expands sizes available for easix line of multi-axis robots

Easix multi-axis robots Injection molding machinery supplier Engel has collaborated with Kuka Roboter GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, to extend the easix line. 

What's new? The sizes available. The new models are suitable for the largest Engel injection molding machines, which have clamping forces of up to 6,182 tons. The robots feature a reach of almost 13 feet and a load capacity of up to 529 pounds, making them suitable for the production of bumpers, instrument panels and waste containers. 

Benefits The convenience and efficiency of having the controls for the robot fully integrated into the control unit of the injection molding machine, resulting in consistent operating logic. Movement instructions integrate seamlessly with the graphical user interface on the control unit for simple robot operation.
