Racer3 The new high-speed, six-axis articulated robot from Comau weighs only 6.6 pounds, the result of a compact design and aluminum construction. The light weight allows for mounting on benches, walls and ceilings. Comau created this for general industry use where there is a need for ease of automation with extreme accuracy, precision and intelligence on even the most delicate manufacturing processes. Applications include assembling, handling, dispensing, machine tending, picking and placing.  

What's new? The size. The third and smallest robot in the Racer family, it is designed to meet increased demand for high-speed, cost-effective automation from small to medium-sized businesses. Racer3 features a payload of 6.6 pounds and a reach of nearly 25 inches.  This is the first of a new generation of general industry robots that will be offered by Comau. Racer3 was on display at the recent China International Robot Show held in Shanghai.
