Rotor exchange device Reduction Engineering Scheer's new rotor exchange device has been specially designed for cantilevered pelletizers to prevent workplace injuries. The device, which bolts on the circular cutter and on the bed knife holder, can be used to both remove and install rotors.

What's new? An accessory with a strap that can attach to the rotor, so that the blades can be changed without having anyone come into contact with sharp edges.

Benefits Faster changeover times, increased productivity and safer handling of rotor blades. With the device bolted onto the side of a machine, the operator can slide the rotor onto a support shaft without having to personally support it. The support shaft also aligns and squares the rotor to the shaft. This allows the rotor to be easily pushed onto the shaft without the need for additional tools.
