QuickChange PT Sweco's latest pneumatically powered lift system on its separation equipment for screen changes features two air cylinders that are self-contained within towers mounted independently on each side of the unit. The ends of the cylinder rods rise up from the towers to engage a bracket on the cover or frame and lift the frame stack. The QuickChange PT boasts a number of safety features, including a motor start-up interlock, which prevents the separator from being inadvertently started while the QuickChange is engaged. The QuickChange is available in carbon or stainless steel for 48- and 60-inch units.

What's new? The system, which was released in April, allows one person to change the screen on Sweco's separation equipment in about 2 minutes.

Benefits One-person, vibration-free operation, and sturdy, compact design. The lift system can be engaged simply by turning a switch. Also, its robust design allows it to pick up as much as 1,000 pounds. The QuickChange is not attached to the separator itself, so it does not interfere with the separator's screening process. This design also prevents it from being damaged by vibrations.
