AM8000  Beckhoff Automation has added two new models to this line of compact, dynamic servomotors, which are ideal for applications with fast cycle changes and machines with a small footprint.

WHAT'S NEW?  The AM801x and AM811x models add an F1 flange size with a 40mm edge length to the servomotor product line. Due to the multi-turn absolute encoder integrated in the new servomotors, the absolute position of the drive is immediately known when switching the axis on, making homing functions unnecessary. The units cover a torque range from 0.22 to 0.55 Newton meters.

BENEFITS  The new motors are ideally suited for feed and traversing axes since limit switches and additional encoders are not required. They offer a low rotor moment of inertia as well as quadruple overload capacity in line with the highest requirements for motion dynamics even in the smallest installation spaces.
