WHAT'S NEW? A barrier screw that increases the rate of plastication of unmelted material but minimizes shear forces on already-molten plastic. The plasticizing system also has a poppet-style non-return valve with free-flowing channels that prevent plastic degradation and a rapid shut-off for shot-to-shot consistency.
BENEFITS Reduced cycle times. Screw recovery takes 10 to 15 percent less time than other high-performance plasticizing units, to keep pace with short cooling times in high-volume thin-wall parts production.
