IC-RDKP 72  This third-generation automatic roll-stock fed pressure forming thermoforming unit from Illig Maschinenbau GmbH separates forming and punching functions.

WHAT'S NEW?  The RDKP was at NPE 2012 but since has been equipped with Illig's Intelligent Control (IC) concept, marking the upgraded machine's U.S. debut. In addition to IC, the machine features contact heating, combined with ceramic heater elements for material pre-heating and heating to forming temperature, as well as optimized use of compressed air. Forming table and upper table movements are servo-driven and synchronized.

BENEFITS  An increase in cycle speed for PP processing up to 55 production cycles per minute. At the show, a roll-fed IC-RDKP 72 model with a steel rule hole punch press positioned between the forming station and steel rule punch will demonstrate speeds of up to 50 cycles per minute with a 6-up mold.
