Zeiger Mallard valves target filled materials

Feb. 27, 2015

Mallard Z4 This latest in the Mallard series of non-return/check ring valves from Zeiger Industries is designed for processing filled materials that have corrosive properties from halogen-free fire retardants. The durable screw-tip option can handle elevated screw speeds of the newest injection molding machines, while offering wear and corrosion resistance when running the filled HFFR materials frequently used in electrical, electronic and automotive applications. The product will be at NPE.

What's new? The combination of the company's proprietary carbide wear surface technology with the wear and corrosion resistance of CPM S90V alloy, a vanadium-bearing stainless tool steel hardened using crucible particle metallurgy.

Benefits For corrosion resistance without sacrificing wear resistance, resulting in less downtime from front-end component replacements. Processing problems like specking, corrosive attack and premature component failures are reduced when used with Zeiger's continuous taper end cap and nozzle design.
