CX5100 embedded pc controller With this new DIN rail-mountable embedded PC controller from Beckhoff, tasks for processing machinery can be executed simultaneously through individual processing units. The mid-priced, mid-performance controller falls between Beckhoff Automation's CX5000 series and top-of-the-line CX2000.
What's new? Its release in North America, following an earlier European debut. The CX5100 is equipped with the newest generation of Intel Atom CPU processors, offered as single, dual or quad-core. It operates as a single hardware platform for plastics machinery, suited to machine automation, motion/temperature control or running human machine interface (HMI) software control from one hardware device. The processor's 22-nanometer technology yields higher performance while maintaining thermal balance.
Benefits Higher performance at a lower overall cost vs. a traditional PLC and motion control system. All units in the series are fanless, resulting in low heat dissipation and power consumption.
