Next-gen FRIGEL Ecodry allows tighter specs

Nov. 25, 2014

Ecodry 3DK  This next-generation Ecodry 3DK closed-loop adiabatic liquid cooler from Frigel, which replaces a former version, is the central cooler of an integrated, closed-loop intelligent cooling system.

What's New?  Greater adaptability to specific manufacturing requirements. Options for more precise cooling temperatures include a patent-pending adiabatic booster for hotter climates, self-draining coils with recirculation pump stations for non-glycol applications in freezing climates, and varied heat exchanger configurations for any climate. Also optional: space-saving fan exhaust diffusers on top of the cooler. Key components are coated with acrylic for protection, with polyurethane optional for even more protection.

Benefits  Up to 28 percent less energy consumption, greater cooling precision, less maintenance, and space savings of up to 30 percent vs. the previous Ecodry model — depending on whether the configuration uses air diffusers or roof panels. The closed-loop system offers its own considerable savings, compared with an air-cooled chiller, in water and energy.
