P250e This pre-shredder system from M&J Recycling is equipped with ReCapture, the Danish company’s system to capture and reuse energy during shaft reversals. The P250e is available with an electric drive while a similar P250h model uses a hydraulic drive. To eliminate manual wire cutting and ensure that containers are completely de-clumped, recyclers use pre-shredders to break bales of film, PET or HDPE bottles. The P250e’s capacity is up to 110 tons per hour. Using 12 knives, a grain size under 100mm is possible. In the U.S., eFactor3 is an M&J Recycling partner.
What’s new? The P250e with ReCapture system.
Benefits Energy-use reduction of 25 percent or more. The company said the ReCapture system, combined with M&J’s e-drive technology, allows the P250e to save up to 50 percent in total energy use compared with hydraulic shredders, and it’s also quieter. Modular design makes service and maintenance easier.
