Branson Polaris welder adds actuators

The Core and Advanced actuators extend the platform's performance to fully automated production.

Branson Polaris Ultrasonic Welding Platform This configurable multi-use welding platform from Emerson is appropriate for joining a wide range of materials and components, including automotive parts, packaging, medical devices, consumer electronics, food packaging, appliances, bioplastics and textiles.

What’s new? Emerson's April release of Polaris Core and Polaris Advanced actuators for the welding platform. Ideal for standardized production environments, the Polaris Core actuator provides robust, repeatable ultrasonic welding with manually settable pressure and downspeed. The Polaris Advanced actuator adds electronic pressure and downspeed control, distance and force measurement and stepping capabilities, enabling greater precision for complex, miniature or highly regulated applications. The actuators can be adapted as automation systems or as stand-alone complete systems.

Benefits The ability to extend the platform’s performance from benchtop development through fully automated production. The Polaris Core and Advanced actuators allow manufacturers to tailor actuator, power supply, software and installation options to their application and automation needs.
