Automated Linear Motion Stage As part of the company’s Plasma-Jet portfolio, this Corotec technology offers precise corona treatment appropriate for a number of industries and applications, including research and development (R&D), as well as the treatment of catheters and tubing. The automated slide solution has a specially designed enclosure that provides a clear view of the treatment process while allowing easy access to the part fixture. Bringing together a PJ-2 power supply, dual plasma jet heads and an automated part positioning system, it boasts advanced process control that lets operators set cycle counts and jet head speeds. The plasma jets are mounted on a precision slide powered by a stepper motor.  

What’s new? The solution, available since around September, after Corotec developed it in response to a medical device manufacturer’s need for an automated treatment solution in its R&D laboratory.
