WSB This series of gravimetric blenders from Maguire includes more than 120 models, with capacities that range from 10 pounds per hour to 11,000 pounds per hour. Called WSB blenders because they are weigh-scale blenders, they measure every gram of every material, dynamically adjusting dosing as densities and flow rates change. They can be used for blending a variety of materials, including regrind, virgin materials, colorants and additives, and can be installed in a number of different ways. Users can mount the blenders on the feed throat, a floor stand or the mezzanine floor.
What’s new? The WSB 280MP, the first of Maguire’s WSB blenders to feature eight removable hoppers for rapid material changes, eliminating the need for multiple feeders. The blender — which Maguire displayed at the K show — has a nominal throughput of 550 pounds per hour.
