Hyper Cut grinder is efficient, versatile
Hyper Cut Moretto’s new high-performance grinder is tailored for grinding waste pieces, sprues and bad parts in injection molding, extrusion and blow molding operations. It comes in two models, each with three fixed blades; the GR5060’s rotor can be configured with 15 movable blades, and the GR5084’s can handle 21 movable blades, which can be tailored to specific applications. The electric, servo-assisted opening and closing of the cutting chamber and feed hopper have been designed to simplify operator experience requiring no tools. Maximum capacity is about 2,650 pounds per hour.
What’s new? The Hyper Cut grinder, which Moretto displayed at the K show.
Benefits Durability, versatility and high regrind quality, even with demanding materials. The Hyper Cut is easy to maintain, and cuts energy use by more than half, compared to conventional grinders. The grinders’ rotor operates at 280 rpm, a 60 percent lower rotational speed than conventional grinders, while delivering double the cutting capacity, lower noise levels and dust-free output. The cutting chamber’s design optimizes pickup of incoming material, which remains in the chamber until it’s small enough to pass through the screen.
