Maguire optimizes Ultra vacuum dryers

Ultra This Maguire line of vacuum dryers is designed for energy-efficiency and fast ROI. The dryers use vacuum to dry materials rapidly, rather than desiccant hot dry air, which can take a long time. As standard, they’re equipped with Temperature Sense Control, which automatically regulates the heater and air flow to ensure only the required amount of heat and air flow are used to bring material up to temperature. The Dynamic Drying feature automatically adjusts drying rate to process rate. Optional features include a heating hopper drain chute, vacuum take-off assembly, three-phase monitoring kit and heating hopper extension. 

What’s new? The fourth generation of the dryers, which have been on the market for 25 years. At the K show, Maguire featured its new Ultra-300+, with an optimized design that enables a maximum hourly throughput of 440 pounds. Along with the Ultra 300+, the new models include the Ultra 150E and Ultra 300E, with maximum hourly throughputs of 165 pounds and 285 pounds, respectively. 

Benefits Higher throughputs. According to Maguire, compared with conventional dryers, dryers in the Ultra series need only one-sixth the time to dry materials, and they’re easy to use and energy-efficient.
