KraussMaffei software links machinery

EasyTrace gathers data from different types and generations of machines, and is tailored specifically for the plastics industry.
Feb. 1, 2020

easyTrace KraussMaffei’s easyTrace software acts as a central data hub, gathering production data from the extruder or injection molding machine, as well as from automation systems, auxiliary equipment and peripherals, such as cameras, printers and scanners. The software can be linked to an existing MES to access or store data. Requiring only an industrial PC to operate, it supports quality assurance and can provide more insight into the plastics manufacturing process.

What’s new? The ability to integrate machines of different ages and brands. EasyTrace, which is specifically tailored to plastics processing, acts as an interpreter between machines of different generations and types, and supports nearly all existing interfaces, including Profinet. At K 2019, it collected data and generated reports about the production of connectors featuring metal inserts (shown).

Benefits The ability to implement and capitalize on Industry 4.0 in factories that have disparate equipment. The software provides users complete transparency throughout the entire value chain.
