Configure automation with ABB Robot Studio

Sept. 26, 2023
Cloud-enabled functionality, simplified interfaces and version control are among new features.

Robot Studio ABB’s RobotStudio robot programming and simulation software allows users to design, configure and commission individual robots and complete robot systems. The software can create a digital twin that allows for fine-tuning and optimization of an automation installation, and its automatic path-planning feature cuts the time needed to program robots by up to 80 percent.

What’s new? Cloud-enabled functionality. Other new features include simplified interfaces and version control.

Benefits Improved collaboration and productivity. The software’s simplified interfaces let both novices and experts interact efficiently to design robot cells while cutting the time, cost and disruption that physical testing and commissioning can require. Widely dispersed teams are able to use any device as they work together in real time. The automatic version control feature improves transparency across teams by clearly showing who edited the program and when.
