Boy Machine has upgraded its XS and XXS injection molding machines.

Boy XXS and Boy XS Boy’s micro-injection molding machines use a reciprocating screw to process a diverse range of resins, including bio-based resins, thermoplastics, elastomers and silicone. They can be used for making small parts, as well as for testing and prototyping.

What’s new? An increase in stroke volume, screw stroke and injection force. Due to upgrades to the machines, with a screw diameter of 18mm, the stroke volume has increased from 0.62 cubic inch to 0.93 cubic inch, and the screw stroke has increased from 1.57 inch to 2.36 inch. In addition, the machines’ injection force now is 25 percent greater.

Benefits The ability to produce bigger parts, or to make use of a greater number of cavities. Due to the upgrades, the machines have a significantly wider range of injection volumes than comparably sized machines.
