polyXtrue This Plastic Flow software gives extrusion die makers insight into how their designs would perform, once built and in operation. PolyXtrue estimates extrudate shape and layer structure, and provides accurate quantitative information on the flow inside the die, as well as in the extrudate beyond the die exit. It can predict the distortion, shrinkage and temperature of extrudate, and determine the layer structure in multi-layer coextruded products.
What’s new? New features, including the ability to add multiple flow simulation jobs to a batch processing queue, an improved algorithm for coextrusion simulation and an improved user experience. Among the changes to the interface are higher-resolution graphs, a simplified way to select materials to simulate and the new ability to specify up to five different temperature zones on secondary die walls or die plate faces.
Benefits Greater efficiency in handling multiple simulations; the ability to simulate flow in coextrusion dies, which, in some instances, could not be previously simulated; and improved ease of use.
