Unicam This new Guill crosshead is designed to speed extrusion tooling changeovers. Users may choose Guill’s traditional four-bolt method of concentricity adjustment or the company’s Single-Point style of concentricity adjustment. To switch from the traditional method to the Single-Point method, users just have to remove the four locking bolts that hold the adjustment ring in place. For applications that require very fine adjustments, optional Micro-Adjust screws are available.

What’s new? The Unicam, which Guill planned to display at MD&M West in early February. The design now is available on most Guill heads for medical applications.

Benefits Faster changeovers. The Unicam allows for easy disassembly for head cleaning and purging. By reducing the time needed for these tasks, users can enjoy greater run time on their manufacturing lines.
