SFM-AT800-S Solukon Maschinenbau’s SFM line of machines cleans up 3-D printed parts created via metal laser powder bed fusion. Machines in the series rotate printed parts on multiple axes and vibrate them to remove powder from complex internal channels, such as those in heat exchangers or injection molds.

What’s new? The SFM-AT800-S, which debuted at Formnext 2018 and will be available in the U.S. in the middle of this year. New software uses CAD data to detect internal channels in parts and generate a 3-D rotation path to optimize powder removal.

Benefits Efficient, reproducible cleaning. The machine reduces labor requirements and protects health, safety and the environment by keeping the powder contained and collecting it for reuse.
