Dapra’s double-sided, square-shoulder, 90-degree milling cutters can be used to manufacture molds and tooling.
Edge² DSS System Dapra’s double-sided, square- shoulder, 90-degree milling cutters can be used to manufacture molds and tooling, and are appropriate for use with steels, stainless steels and exotic metals. They are especially suited for producing high-quality wall and floor finishes.

What’s new? The cutters, which debuted in January. Additionally, the company now has an automatic cutter replacement program. Shops sometimes use cutters beyond their recommended service life because of cost concerns. Dapra said its program overcomes this problem by making free cutters available when customers purchase inserts.

Benefits Flexibility and economy. The double-sided inserts have four cutting edges each — double that of current inserts — providing a lower cost per edge. The cutters can handle multiple types of materials and come in two cutting geometries — T-land for stronger steels and irons and dished for stainless steels, high-temperature alloys and gummy materials. Their hardened, high-shock bodies maximize tool life.
