Milacron Holdings Corp., Cincinnati, is preparing for additional growth with the expansion of two manufacturing facilities in India. In Chinnavedampati, it has expanded its hot-runner manufacturing capabilities with the opening of a 10,000-square-foot factory.
Meanwhile, the company plans to complete expansion of its Ahamedabad facility, which last month delivered its 10,001st injection molding machine, by January. The expansion will allow it to increase its annual output from 1,500 injection and blow molding machines a year to 2,100 machines.
The Chinnavedampati facility, about 2.5 miles away from the company's existing manufacturing facility, will focus on making Mold-Masters' Fusion G2. It is about 5 miles from Mold-Masters' head office in Coimbatore, where Milacron's team has grown from a few people to more than 350 employees.
Designed in Europe for large parts, the Fusion G2 line is serviced by the Global MasterCare team. The company says the line's drop-in, single-point connection design ensures easy installation, faster startups, reliable operation and user-friendly maintenance for automotive and medium- to large-part molding applications. It has recently added improved features, including extended nozzle lengths and types, valve pin intelligence with speed control, pin-position monitoring and new gate seals.
