CoreTech System Co. Ltd. (Moldex3D) announced its partnership with Anova Innovations to support that company’s apprenticeship program. In response to the workforce shortage facing the manufacturing industry, Erie, Pa.-based Anova, which designs and builds injection molds with an emphasis on the use of 3D printing, has teamed up with Erie High School to launch an internship/apprenticeship program.
Simulation software firm Moldex3D donated software to the high school to help students learn the mold design process, and how to deal with challenges such as shrinkage, warpage and air trap. The companies believe the program will help students build essential manufacturing skills and an impressive resume before they even graduate from high school.
“We are proud to donate our software technology to Erie High School, Anova’s apprenticeship partner high school,” said Anthony Yang, Deputy CEO of CoreTech System and GM of North American Subsidiary. “The younger generation is tech-savvy and eager to work with cutting-edge technology in the workplace, and Moldex3D's partnership with Anova aligns with this trend. Our simulation software helps students build confidence in their skills, preparing them to become highly skilled and motivated professionals in the manufacturing industry. We hope to inspire students to pursue manufacturing careers and help address the current workforce shortage.”
