Design brings Romi VMC new features

June 7, 2022
The D 1000 VMC has roller guides that boost rigidity and precision, and a new Fanuc CNC control.

D 1000 VMC Romi’s machine tools all start with a monoblock cast-iron bed, which provides a stable foundation and absorbs vibrations. Its D Series New Generation line of vertical machining centers (VMCs) is a good fit for machining molds and tooling. They are available in versions with maximum spindle speeds of 10,000 rpm and 15,000 rpm.

What’s new? The design of Romi’s new D 1000 VMC. It has a range of new features, including roller guides that increase precision and rigidity, a direct-drive motor and a Fanuc 0i-MF i-HMI CNC control.

Benefits Robust construction and high chip removal rates. Its high rigidity and thermal compensation features allow it to deliver precision and excellent finishes. The D 1000 VMC has a Y-axis travel of 2 feet, which is several inches more than that of competitors’ similar-sized machines. The HMI has a 15-inch touchscreen with different areas for planning, machining, improvements and utilities, and gives operators access to functions in just two clicks.
