PCS launches TC50 hot-runner temperature controller
TC50 This hot-runner temperature controller from PCS comes in two versions, for either six or 12 zones of control. Standard features include a 7-inch touch screen, self-diagnostics, zone slaving, mold memory, leak detection and injection press connectivity for input/output functions. It also offers power balance detection and display and a group setup function.
What’s new? The TC50, and features such as Synchronous Heating and Synchronous Cooling. At the start of the heating process, instead of applying full power to both the nozzles and the manifold, Synchronous Heating reduces the power going to the nozzles while the manifold comes to the set-point temperature. When the manifold is close to the set point, the nozzles go to full power to reach the proper temperature. This helps prevent the degradation of plastic in the nozzles and reduces the risk of tripping a power breaker. Synchronous Cooling ensures that the nozzles and manifold cool at the same rate, a requirement for some types of hot-runner systems.
Benefits Affordability and ease of use. The controller is easy to program and makes it simple to monitor and record hot-runner processing parameters.
