WFL Millturn updates simulation software
CrashGuard Studio In response to the ever-increasing complexity of software for operating all CNC machining centers, WFL Millturn continues to update its simulation software. CrashGuard Studio can run a 3D simulation to check for potential collisions in new or modified CNC programs, as well as to test the correctness of the workpiece geometry produced. Over the years, the software has received new visualization and material-removal simulation capabilities, as well as optimizations to take full advantage of multi-core CPUs and GPUs.
What’s new? Version 3.2.4, which, among other improvements, has revised and expanded a user’s ability to conduct measuring functions with the mouse. An optional add-on, ScrewCAM, allows users of CrashGuard Studio Version 3.2.4 to model and manufacture plasticizing screws with complex geometries.
Benefits Improved simulation quality. The new Verification window can detect undersized or oversized dimensions by comparing the simulated workpiece geometry to a target geometry. The software can now simulate the removal of waste material, and the performance of its material removal calculation tool has also been improved.
