SWA Sisma’s SWA laser welding and mold maintenance system is used to modify and repair damaged molds without preheating. This avoids problems common with traditional welding, such as geometric distortions, edge burns and decarburization. Appropriate for steels, copper alloys and aluminum, it produces high-hardness welds without subsequent heat treatments.
What’s new? The latest generation of the SWA, which launched this spring and features a high-quality fiber laser source. The laser beam allows users to weld complex areas, such as narrow and deep grooves.
Benefits Energy efficiency and intuitive operation. The new laser source is energy efficient and provides greater process stability. Due to new, advanced software functions, operators can intuitively perform difficult operations, such as welding along circular paths and on inclined planes. With no consumable parts, the SWA is easy to maintain.
