Richard Dikran Devellian, who co-founded hot-runner company Kona Corp. in 1978, died May 27 when his bicycle was struck from behind by a motorist. He was 83.
Known as Dick, Devellian sold the company in 1991. Kona hot-runner systems are still used in injection molding today and are sold by Synventive Molding Solutions. After selling Kona, Devellian moved to Jackson, N.H., where he was an active cyclist, skier, hiker and traveler.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Claire (Anderson) Devellian, son Gregory Devellian, daughter Karen Muniz and their families.
