PiovanGroup North America CEO John Erkert adds role with Conair Group

John Erkert, who has served as CEO for PiovanGroup North America (PGNA) since May 2024, has assumed responsibilities as president of Conair Group, replacing Jason Ganim.  

“As PGNA CEO, John is recognized as a leader who drives efficiency, innovation, and alignment with strategic goals. These skills, together with his proven ability to foster employee growth and development, are pivotal to success in his expanded role,” PiovanGroup North America said in a press release. 

Erkert has been a leader of group companies for more than 30 years, including serving as CFO of Rapid Granulator, IPEG Group and PiovanGroup North America, and was COO before being promoted to CEO of the North America Region. Before coming to the group, he worked as a CPA with KPMG and with RSM.  

In a 2024 podcast interview with PMM, he discussed his outlook for Piovan’s brands in North America.  

PiovanGroup is the world’s biggest supplier of auxiliary equipment to the plastics industry. Besides Conair, its brands include UnaDyn, Doteco and Thermal Care. Conair's extensive product lineup ranges from drying systems, blenders and temperature control units to solutions for extrusion and recycling.
