The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) will host its second annual National Plastics Conference on September 22–25 in Orlando, Fla. The only conference developed “by the industry, for the industry,” National Plastics Conference brings together professionals from every corner of the plastics value chain for an immersive experience built around leadership, innovation, advocacy and sustainability.

The event is designed to build upon the energy and momentum observed at PLASTICS’ NPE — offering attendees a chance to stay connected, informed and engaged in between the triennial trade show.

“The National Plastics Conference is more than just a meeting, it’s our association providing an annual opportunity for the industry to align, advance and act together,” said Matt Seaholm, president and CEO of PLASTICS. “It’s where leaders from across the value chain — processors, equipment makers, material innovators, recyclers and more — come together to tackle the challenges we all face and find shared solutions. From policy and public perception to manufacturing and sustainability, the conversations that happen here are critical to the future of our industry. This is where collaboration becomes innovation.”

Held at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Area, the conference is designed to promote collaboration between sectors and across roles ranging from manufacturing leaders and technical experts to sustainability officers.

Curated content for an evolving industry

The National Plastics Conference offers three days of high-impact programming designed to tackle the challenges and opportunities facing the plastics industry today. From market trends and supply chain strategy to evolving policy landscapes and public perception, the event invites attendees to explore what is ahead.

Sessions will cover a targeted selection of critical topics impacting the industry, including artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing, understanding extended producer responsibility frameworks, microplastics, trade and tariff policy, recycling innovations, economic forecasts and more.

“Building this year’s agenda has been a collaborative process shaped by experts throughout the value chain,” said Apryl Alexander-Savino, PLASTICS’ VP of events and marketing. “From processors, materials innovators and equipment manufacturers to policy experts and recyclers, we’ve worked closely with voices of presenters from every corner of the industry to ensure the program reflects the issues that matter most. The result is a dynamic, solutions-driven agenda built by and for the plastics industry.”

A place for every professional

Whether you're a C-suite executive shaping strategy or an emerging leader looking to sharpen your skills, the National Plastics Conference is designed to support and educate professionals at every level. Attendees will include manufacturers, recyclers, material suppliers, consultants and equipment providers, making it an ideal venue for cross-sector collaboration.

Collaboration beyond the conference hall

In addition to structured programming, the event includes community-building opportunities like the annual FLiP (Future Leaders in Plastics) cleanup, a hands-on sustainability effort that brings together early-career professionals and seasoned industry leaders to give back to the local community while connecting informally.

The National Plastics Conference will also host offsite networking events and receptions throughout the four days.
