A new cobot manufacturer entered the North American market this year and is having some success selling to plastics processors.

“We have sold units to injection molders for machine tending applications and for 3D printer tending,” said Joe Faltas, VP of Devonics in San Diego, which represents the Chinese-made line of Fairino cobots. He talked about the brand at Automate 2025 in Detroit in May.

Fairino is the top seller of cobots in China, Faltas said. “The price is phenomenal, and these are well-built machines.”

The line consists of eight models with payloads ranging from 6.6 pounds to 66.1 pounds. Maximum reach ranges from just over 2 feet to just over 6 feet. All eight models have six rotating joints.

There is an optional mirror version available for the FR3, 6.6-pound-payload version.

A 10.1-inch teach pendant or mobile terminal web app serves as the HMI.

In addition to machine tending, Faltas said Fairino cobots can be used with conveyor belts and can perform pick-and-place, screw tightening, welding, glue dispensing and palletizing applications.

Faltas said all models are currently warehoused in the U.S. and can be shipped within four days. Devonics has also established a network of independent integrators to assist users when needed.
