GX-C Epson’s new high-performance flagship series of SCARA robots integrates the RC800A controller with SafeSense technology, offering optimized productivity, power and energy savings along with safety-rated speed and position monitoring. The robots require no physical safety barriers, which reduces their footprint and enables faster human interaction for operation and maintenance. Epson’s RC+ software speeds program development and simplifies automation tasks, while Gyroplus vibration reduction technology optimizes work cell throughput with smooth motions and fast settling times.
What’s new? The line, which includes four models — the GX4C, GX8C, GX10C and GX20C — with multiple arm configurations available, as well as clean-room and electrostatic discharge-compliant versions.
Benefits High precision, fast cycle times and flexibility in a compact footprint for demanding automation applications. Epson says it is using the GX-C robots in its own consumer electronics manufacturing operations.
