Dynamic mapping allows the Big Joe Pallet Mover to update onboard facility maps on the fly and share them with other units.

Big Joe Forklifts Pallet Mover Big Lift's new user-directed autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is designed to autonomously transport and drop off pallets and can begin operating in less than 1 hour after receipt, according to the company.

What’s new? The Pallet Mover AMR was introduced at Automate 2023, and includes dynamic mapping, map sharing and zone drop functions. The Pallet Mover’s features include a tablet interface, lidar, and a camera system to transport and drop pallets to locations.

Benefits Ease of use and convenience. Dynamic mapping allows the Big Joe Pallet Mover to update onboard facility maps on the fly to keep up with changing environments, which improves mapping accuracy and reduces the need to frequently remap areas of operation. When multiple Pallet Movers work in the same facility, users can share updated mapping among all units via Wi-Fi to maintain performance across the fleet.
