Burger & Brown Engineering is internationally known for its SMARTFLOW® proprietary products for the molding industry. Smartflow products are designed and manufactured by injection molders to increase cooling water efficiency, protect valuable tooling and make mold changes faster. Standard and custom multi-port manifolds are available in Stainless Steel and Anodized Aluminum materials. They are the platform for adding flowmeters and regulators for efficient water use and cooling water management. Flow management techniques employ low-cost mechanical flowmeters and flow regulators with pressure and temperature gauges. Also available are electronic flowmeters with Turbulent Flow Indication or sophisticated vortex-shedding flow and temperature sensors ideal for PLC connection. Mold protection is provided by the use of Smartflow in-mold position switches for ejector plate return, core pull, and slide retention. Smartflow in-mold switches feature options of liquid-resistance, high temperature ratings and installation accommodating 3mm/4mm rest buttons. Quick Mold Changes are supported with three products: FasTie® Quick Ejector Tie-In Systems, Duoflow® Mold-Mounted Aluminum Manifolds and SWAP® Valve to quickly evacuate mold cooling lines. New products include Delta-Q Flow Regulators and Dr. Eddy Turbulent Flow Indicators, supporting Scientific Cooling℠ principles. The Scientific Cooling class supports sustainable injection molding through efficient part cooling practices.
