Machine automatically deflashes elastomer parts

The macrofinishing machine from C.S.I. Centro Servizi Industriali eliminates the need for liquid nitrogen and PC blasting media.

MF-15L This new macrofinishing machine from C.S.I. Centro Servizi Industriali removes runners and overflow flashing from injection molded elastomer parts in an automated process. This presents an alternative to the traditional processes of removing flashing along the parting line and the gates either manually or in a classical blasting process in a tumbler under cryogenic conditions. The new system operates automatically and largely autonomously.

What’s new? The macrofinishing machine.

Benefits The elimination of the need for PC blasting media and for liquid nitrogen to cool molded parts prior to finishing, and reduced energy consumption. Compared to traditional processes, using the MF-15L, which takes 20 to 40 seconds, saves production costs, requiring only about 5to 8 kilowatts.
