MoldlifeAssist monitors mold conditions

The sensor technology for Arburg's Gestica control system optimizes preventive measures and maintenance planning.
Jan. 22, 2026

aXw Control MoldlifeAssist This integrated sensor technology, available from Hack Formenbau GmbH, Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany, for Arburg’s Gestica controls for its injection molding machines, monitors mold conditions, including temperature, acoustics, breathing and alignment, and enables smart communications between the mold and press, using Euromap 82.5 protocols. It issues warnings, alarms and error messages, as necessary, and can provide graphics of the data it collects. The hardware includes a connector on the fixed mold plate and a box on the rear of the machine, so one system can be used for several molds. The system is particularly suited for complex molds.

What’s new? The technology, displayed for the first time by Arburg at the K show.

Benefits Optimization of preventive measures and maintenance planning and guidance; easier setup; enhanced machine availability; user-friendliness; and increased operator safety.
