LR 5 This Boy robot for injection molding can remove or insert parts, or separate them for assembly. It has a three servo-motor-driven linear axes, as well as pneumatic rotary and swivel axes. It boasts precise movements and gentle part transfer. Grippers can be added and fixed to the pneumatic axes. Options include additional gripper and vacuum functions and alternative axis distances.
What’s new? The LR 5, which integrates with Boy’s Procan Alpha 6 control system.
Benefits Greater efficiency, user-friendliness and repeatability. With the Alpha 6 controller, the LR 5 is automatically linked to the injection molding machine’s data set, a common alarm system and central event logging, which simplifies fault diagnosis and rectification. The interface is intuitive to use, with a uniform operating philosophy that shortens training times and minimizes operating errors.
