Zeiger connector valve and screw allow use of HFFR resins

Zeiger connector valve and screw have an increased lifespan when used with high-wear fire-resistant resins.

Connector valve and screw Zeiger Industries displayed at K 2019 its connector valve and screw for use on injection molding machines to mold glass-reinforced, halogen-free, fire-retardant (HFFR) engineering-grade resins. Such resins are commonly used to make electrical component connectors and under-the-hood automotive parts.

What’s new? The combination of materials. These include a solid carbide check ring — an improvement over tool steel — and a rear seat made of Zeiger corrosion- and wear-resistant ZHCW 20 steel.

Benefits Increased durability. HFFR resins can cause wear and corrosion; the check ring offers a sixfold lifespan increase over ones made of conventional tool steel.
