Dumper automates materials handling
High-lift bin dumper This open-chute bin dumper from Flexicon lifts mobile bins that have been rolled into a three-sided pen. A loss-in-weight system controls when the dumper empties the bin into its receiving hopper, which has a vibratory bottom to ensure non-free-flowing materials feed smoothly into an integral flexible screw conveyor. The dumper can be used to handle a wide range of materials, from bottles to regrind to pellets. The unit is made of stainless steel and is also available in carbon steel with material contact surfaces of stainless steel.
What’s new? The dumper, which was designed to meet a client’s specifications.
Benefits Automation. The dumper can lift mobile bins as heavy as 3,000 pounds as high as 10 feet to empty them into the 60-cubic-foot receiving hopper, then close the hopper lid and return the bin to the plant floor. Its laser curtain eliminates the need for a physical safety cage with interlocked doors.
