Volume Graphics software Volume Graphics’ VGStudio, VGStudio Max, VGMetrology and VGinLine packages are used to handle computed-tomography (CT) data and can be used in conjunction with both CT machines and coordinate-measuring machines. Each has different functions: VGStudio is used to create visual representations of CT scans, while VGStudio Max and VGMetrology analyze the data. Meanwhile, VGinLine is useful for the automation of these analyses and can be used in inline inspections.
What’s new? Version 3.3, with a new feature that allows users to export analyses, along with detailed results of measurements and of position and form tolerancing. The latest version also now is capable of batch processing data from parts with identical intended dimensions; in addition, it can simultaneously evaluate surfaces made of multiple materials.
Benefits Easier sharing of metrology data with quality-assurance systems, better analysis of multi-material parts, faster data analysis, mold-cavity traceability and compatibility with non-CT systems. Version 3.3 makes using results in third-party statistical or analysis software easier.
