Software monitors products for labeling issues

Intravis' IMLWatcher module looks for issues including label identity and position, bar codes, printing accuracy and color; data is tracked for individual mold cavities.
Dec. 1, 2019
IMLWatcher Intravis’ quality-assurance system inspects in-mold labeled (IML) objects and spots short shots and defects, including errors with regard to label identity, label position and artwork.

What’s new? Updates to the IMLWatcher software and user interface. With the upgrade, the new version of IMLWatcher — IMLWatcher 2019 — is now better able to compensate for slight, random rotations of objects in the removal handling device of the robot.

Benefits Simplified setup, clear presentation of data and optimal analysis of the production line. IMLWatcher now makes it possible to track errors by mold cavity, so errors can be better monitored and corrected. With the upgrades, a quick reference mode is able to automatically create a new reference within seconds during measurement mode, which saves time for the operator. In addition, the user interface now offers a better overview of all cavities and statistical data.
