Injection molding machines Dr. Boy Gmbh & Co. KG’s line of injection molding machines features a cantilevered, two-platen clamping system and provides clamping forces as great as 137.5 tons. Made in Germany, machines in the line come in horizontal and vertical models and can be used for a wide variety of applications, including insert molding.

What’s new? A mobile version of Boy’s Procan Alpha machine controller. Using a wireless local area network (WLAN), each machine can be controlled remotely via secure Ethernet communication. The mobile display has a magnetic holder, allowing it to be attached anywhere on the machine. The mobile display also can be equipped with an emergency stop device that communicates with the machine via the WLAN connection. Launched at K 2019, the mobile controller will be available in the spring for all types of Boy injection molding machines.

Benefits Convenience. The machine operator can move freely around the press while still being able to use the controller. This allows the operator to make adjustments while looking at the relevant part of the machine.
