Cobalt Design This family of structured light 3-D scanners from Faro was created with small to medium-sized objects in mind. There is a single and a dual series, with the single series offering a defined viewing range, and the dual series offering a scalable measuring volume for a greater range of object sizes. The scanners are suitable for reverse engineering and product design tasks.

What’s new? The scanners, which came to market in July.

Benefits User-friendly scanning. The scanners are simple to set up, and the optional automated turntable makes 360-degree scanning of objects easy. They can capture up to 3.1 megapixels of 3-D color images, and when used in combination with Faro’s RevEng software, their high-quality textured scans are ready to create 3-D prints.
