Munson blender gains bag dumping station

HD-3.5-9-SS This new ribbon blender from Munson, which went on sale in September, can blend up to 85 cubic feet of resins, pigments and other ingredients for molding or extrusion in five to 10 minutes. In recycling applications, it can be used to coat particles of recyclable thermoplastics with minor ingredients, or to blend solids of different shapes and sizes. 

What’s new? The addition of a bag-dumping station that collects dust.

Benefits Improved worker safety and plant hygiene. Hand-held sacks are slit and the material is dumped through a welded grate, which helps trap lumps and bag scraps, while dust is drawn onto cartridge filters, dislodged with timed blasts of air and carried away from the operator.
