The GOM CT industrial computed tomography scanner uses a powerful X-ray detector to produce high-contrast, high-resolution 3-D images.
GOM CT This industrial computed tomography scanner from GOM, based in Braunschweig, Germany, uses a powerful X-ray detector to produce high-contrast, high-resolution 3-D images. The company says the system is especially effective for digitizing smaller plastic parts. Cincinnati- based Exact Metrology is a distributor for the GOM CT scanner in the U.S.

What’s new? Efficiency. A single software package controls the device as well as the acquisition and evaluation of the raw data.

Benefits Sharp images. Its X-ray detector can create a grid of 3,008 pixels by 2,512 pixels for precise measurement, and it is the highest- accuracy 225kV system available. Several objects can be measured at the same time with a single scan, reducing processing times. The resulting 3-D images can be used for reverse engineering, inspection or defect analysis.
