Gear pumps handle colorants, additives

Gear pumps Maag’s gear pumps can be installed by plastics processors on equipment such as feeders and mixers to move fluids such as liquid colorants or other additives.

What’s new? Maag’s F-series pumps, the FX Flexinox and DX Dosix. The pumps have a new design, with the FX Flexinox sporting 16 teeth and the DX Dosix boasting 14. In all, three pumps bear the DX designation, and four have the FX designation.

Benefits Accuracy and the ability to handle small doses and low throughputs. The corrosion- and heat-resistant pumps can handle liquids with viscosities ranging from 0.1 millipascal (mPa) to 500,000 mPas, and flow as light as 0.25-liter of liquid per minute.
