ProGlove Mark 2 ProGlove Inc. has upgraded its wearable bar-code scanners. The scanner docks to the back of a standard glove or a fingerless glove with a textile trigger that can be located on the side of the index finger or in the palm. The scanner provides users feedback with light and/or vibration signals, and can be used in industrial settings for such tasks as confirming work orders or documenting process steps.
What’s new? Connectivity. The Mark 2, which launched in April, uses power-saving Bluetooth Low Energy technology to connect wirelessly with tablets, smart watches or wearable terminals.
Benefits Improved workflow. ProGlove says its product streamlines the scanning process for workers, so that they can carry, move and manipulate objects and scan them without having to retrieve, handle and store a conventional scanner. The battery lasts for up to 15 hours.
