VF-95 BinMaster’s new vibrating fork sensor detects high and low levels in bins, silos, tanks and hoppers. Suited for sensing powdered, flaked or pelletized materials, including plastics, it also is appropriate for use with powdered bulk solids that, due to a very low bulk density, cannot be sensed by a capacitance probe. There are three options for the housing: plastic, aluminum and stainless steel.
What’s new? The VF-95, which is an addition to the company’s vibrating-rod product line, and its tuning-fork sensor element, a first for BinMaster. The fork is mounted parallel to the direction in which the product flows. When material covers the tuning fork, its amplitude is dampened; electronics detect the change to alert users to a full or empty container.
Benefits Ease of use. The VF-95 is reliable, easy to set up and requires little maintenance. Also, the sensor is safe for use in various types of hazardous locations.
